From Western Canadian Farms to Your Fork
From Western Canadian Farms to Your Fork
There are so many reasons to choose local and Western Canadian-made products at your Co-op! When food travels a shorter distance from the producer to the store, it means fresher, better-tasting products for you. Supporting local also has a ripple effect – when local businesses thrive, so do the communities around them. And when you buy food grown and produced right here in Southern Alberta, you're getting top-quality products made with care.
Co-ops across Western Canada proudly partner with local farmers and producers to bring food from the farm to your table. Co-op is there every step of the way – supporting production, offering on-farm expertise, helping bring those products to life, and ensuring they make it to your local Co-op Food Store.
Wild Rose Co-op is excited to launch Farm to Fork – a new program designed to help you see exactly where your food comes from and how you can support #CanadianMade products.
We’ll be working closely with growers and livestock producers to tell their stories – highlighting the journey from production to consumption through our #FarmtoFork features. Wild Rose Co-op is proudly rooted in the communities we serve, and our strong relationships with local producers help boost both our local and the broader Western Canadian economy.
We’ll be sharing stories from some of the incredible vendors and producers whose products you’ll find in our stores. We hope you’ll follow along to learn more about these local products – and gain a deeper appreciation for the food on your table. Stay tuned on our social media for free sample days and more!
